Call Candour
How straight each SEC-filing watchlist company talks on its earnings calls, from the archived transcripts. Each column is one measure over the last four calls; shading is the company’s rank among the filers shown, darker reads less candid. Click a cell for the company’s dodge log.
Signals as of 2026-10-11, four most recent usable calls per company. Word lists: the site's own (384 negative, 172 positive, 73 uncertainty words). ADUR, HELP have no usable call in the archive and are left out.
How to read it
Refusal phrases counts answers to analyst questions that contain one of 38 stock refusals (“we don’t disclose”, “not going to”, “don’t break out”) over the questions asked. Logged dodges are the entries in the company’s dodge log, written by the model when it read the transcript, over the questions in the calls those entries match. Tone is the net tone of management’s words, (positive − negative)/(positive + negative), counted on the site’s own earnings-call word lists (headwind and softness count as negative, “great question” does not), for the Q&A and for the prepared remarks; the script gap is prepared minus Q&A, so a high value is a company that reads brighter from the script than off it. Tone change compares the last four calls with the four before. Uncertainty words are the uncertainty list’s hits per thousand Q&A words. The candour score is a z-score combined from four of these; it is shown for reference and not used for the default sort.
Each column ranks only the companies currently shown, so the shading moves when you filter. The default order sums the ranks. Word counts reward plain speech, not truth: a company can refuse politely and still mislead, and a frank company in a bad quarter uses more negative words.
