If management hits its targets, one share in 12 months

If management hits its targets

from IR material and Earnings Calls

What one share would be worth today and in 12, 24 and 36 months if the company does exactly what its management has promised, next to what a share costs now. Worked out from the targets management gave in its own results decks and earnings calls.

AR$10,870 → AR$11,296

Show the math

Price to book held where it is today, and book value compounded at the return management guides less what the central bank lets it pay out. Banco Macro reports in inflation-adjusted pesos, so the 9-12% return is a real one and every figure here is in today's pesos: a nominal price would be higher by Argentine inflation, and a dollar holder gets it only if the peso keeps its real value. The share count has not moved in five years, so each share keeps all of the growth. Net debt is not subtracted, because a bank's deposits and bonds are inside the book value being compounded. Each figure management gave as a range is taken at its middle.

Show the math, step by step

How we got there: company value if the plan is delivered, minus debt, divided by all the shares, including the new ones they’d have to sell to pay for it.

  1. The multiple. Today's market value over total equity of Ps.6,294,591m at 2026-06-30, about 1.1 times book, held unchanged in every year. It is the one figure that is not management's forecast, and it cancels out of the later years by construction.
  2. The compounding. The CFO's 2026 return on equity on the Q2 '26 call: about 12% adjusted, 9-10% reported. Less a payout of 48% (what was paid on 2025) to 60% (the cap the CEO says the central bank sets). Held for 2027-29, because no later year is guided; the "about 20%" for 2030 is nominal and has no path.
  3. The arithmetic. (equity value if delivered) ÷ shares. Today: AR$10,870 × 639.4M shares is the market value. The share count stays at the 30 Jun 2026 count, as it has for five years; there are no convertibles and no warrants, so 0M shares are added. One ADS is ten shares.

The themes that show up deck after deck, and the ones that disappear.

Bank profile
The first content slide in the 2019 and 2022 decks; from 4Q23 it moves behind the Argentina section.
Macro
Added in 4Q23 as Section I, ahead of anything about the bank, and grown to 17 slides by 4Q24: Milei's economy is the pitch.
Provinces
Exclusive agent to Salta, Misiones, Jujuy and Tucumán in every deck, with population and share figures unchanged from 2019 to 2025. Salta's agreement is shown expiring in 2026.
Peers
'Superior and consistent' in four decks; 'Superior' is dropped in 4Q24, when ROAE was 7.5% against a 22.6% peer average.
Liquidity
The same line in all eight decks; it came true only after 4Q23, when loans/deposits rose from 54% to 69%.
Buenos Aires
'Keep increasing our market share' in every deck; the branch-ranking table behind it repeated 2019's figures in 2022, then gave way to pie charts.
Digital
An 11-slide section in 4Q23 repeated unchanged in 2Q24, then a single image slide in 4Q24.
New
4Q24 (May '25): 'USD loans are expected to continue growing' after the tax amnesty, and the 2025 recovery forecast at 5%.
Quiet
The Buenos Aires branch ranking, the digitalisation metrics and the credit-card growth rate (40%, 38%, 30%, then none) stopped. The last deck showed NPLs at 1.3%; the 2Q26 release shows 6.25%.

Shareholder votes against the board and pay, plus which executives have been selling their own shares.

  1. Tier 2 · stable

Three blocks own two-thirds, one of them the state

ANSES-FGS 29.8%, the Carballo family 19.3% and the founder's heirs' trust 17.3%: 66.3% of capital and 68.3% of the votes with the five-vote Class A shares. Three Brito siblings and a Carballo cousin are directors, one Brito is chairman, and the state fund nominates three more. The board is staggered by thirds. The 20-F's own risk factor: significant shareholders 'have the ability to direct our business, and their interests could conflict with yours'.

  2. Tier 2 · stable

The board was paid more than management, and splits its own pay

Directors, alternates and syndics were paid Ps.15,070.3m for 2025; the ten senior managers Ps.8,771.6m. The meeting approved board pay of Ps.12,119m, 4.97% of computable profit, just under the 5% legal limit, and left the split between directors to the board; a third of the votes cast abstained on that. No per-person figure is disclosed.

  3. Tier 2 · worsening

The reserve is now below the bad loans, the line the SEC asked about

Non-performing loans went from 2.1% of financing at Q2 '25 to 6.3% at Q2 '26, consumer loans to 8.42%, while allowance cover fell from 140.4% to 95.4% and Q2's provision fell 24%. The SEC's 2025-26 letters asked how the expected-credit-loss roll-forward moves; the bank agreed to expand the disclosure and the review closed in February 2026.

  4. Tier 3 · stable

The independent syndics share their names with the bank's tax adviser

The statutory supervisory committee (Almarza, Carlos Piazza, Bozzano; Della Rocca, Francisco Piazza and Stenghele as alternates) must be independent. The same 20-F names 'Estudio Della Roca-Piazza-Almarza' as the bank's tax adviser, and Almarza also sits on the supervisory committee of Genneia, which the chairman chairs.

  5. Tier 3 · live

    Insider reports arrive late

Marcos Brito's purchase of 1,500 ADS ($102,399), dated 2026-03-19, was reported on 2026-09-16; a Form 4 is due in two business days. Iribarne's Form 3 came five months after his election. The 20-F lists Palla as a shareholder; his Form 3 reports nothing.

Where shareholders voted no

At each annual meeting shareholders vote on who sits on the board, what the executives are paid and whether the company may create more shares. These are the votes that drew the most "no"s at the last two meetings: the shares voted against (or withheld) each year, then what share of all votes cast that was. Under each one, what the vote was about and what a no means.
