If management hits its targets

from IR material and Earnings Calls

What one share would be worth today and in 12, 24 and 36 months if the company does exactly what its management has promised, next to what a share costs now. Worked out from the targets management gave in its own results decks and earnings calls.

$418 → $472

Show the math

today's price over adjusted earnings — 20× on the October 2026 guide of at least $20.50 a share — held, with earnings growing 10.5-13.4% a year: management's own 13-16% long-term EPS rate, less the part of it the buyback supplies. Adjusted earnings are after interest, so the value is the equity's and the debt is not subtracted again; it is divided by a share count that keeps falling at its 2026 pace. Each figure management gave as a range is taken at its middle.

Show the math, step by step

How we got there: company value if the plan is delivered, minus debt, divided by all the shares, including the new ones they’d have to sell to pay for it.

  1. The multiple. $418 times 897.6M shares, over $18.6B of adjusted net income: the October 2026 guide of at least $20.50 a share times the 906M diluted shares of the first nine months of 2026 (the release's own bridge says more than $18,585M). That is 20×, held, so none of the rise is a re-rating.
  2. The growth. 2027-29 are not guided. In January 2026 the CEO declined to talk to 2027 but put the long-term rate at 13-16%; in July the CFO called that "the right starting point". It is a per-share rate and includes buybacks, so the page carries 10.5-13.4% on total earnings and lets the falling share count add the rest.
  3. The debt. Not subtracted, because adjusted earnings are after interest. For the record: $74.3B of debt and $25.8B of cash at 30 Sep '26, debt-to-capital 41.7% against a 40% target management says it reaches this year.
  4. The shares. From 907.7M in Feb '26 to 897.6M at 31 Jul 2026, about -2.2% a year, on $5.0B of buybacks through September, the at least $5.0B guided for 2026. One class; stock awards are the only dilution (0M of convert shares).

Where shareholders voted no

At each annual meeting shareholders vote on who sits on the board, what the executives are paid and whether the company may create more shares. These are the votes that drew the most "no"s at the last two meetings: the shares voted against (or withheld) each year, then what share of all votes cast that was. Under each one, what the vote was about and what a no means.

20252026Share 2026
Hemsley (chair, CEO)A board seat. Shareholders vote to keep this person on the board, the group that hires, pays and can fire the CEO. A no, or a withheld vote, says they want this director out, often because of the committee they sit on or a decision they signed off.53.3M28.8M4.3%
